Danielle Woerner
Danielle's a multi-faceted woman who enjoys variety in her life and work. Her major professional areas of mastery are singing, from opera and art song to jazz and more; teaching voice (for singers and professional speakers); writing and song writing. She has also been a publicist and marketer in the arts, education and entertainment. And she's a successful entrepreneur, whose newest venture is the recent launch (late 2011) of WoodstockGREEN, a green-living info, products and services company whose motto is "Simplifying Sustainability." http://WoodstockGREEN.com
Danielle has two solo commercial recordings of new American classical music to her credit, and is featured on several other CDs. Her feature articles, reviews, essays and poetry have been published in Newsweek, Classical Singer, New Music Connoisseur, Chronogram, Hudson Valley Magazine and other venues.
She loves literature and stimulating thought, all kinds of good music, nature, gardening, Havanese dogs and other canines, horses, Japanese and Thai food, yoga, and much more. She is committed to protecting the environment, and to peace as a way of life.
Within one of her Hubpage areas, voice training for business purposes, here's some more detailed background:
Danielle is respected as a master voice teacher within Manhattan voice-teaching and acting circles, as well as throughout the mid-Hudson Valley of NY. Now, via the internet, she brings those skills to a new and growing group of clients--internet entrepreneurs, job seekers and other business professionals who must rely on the effectiveness of their speaking voices.
She has forged a powerful, effective method for helping students develop their voices. Her tools include her broad experience of musical repertoire and performance, technical expertise in music and the spoken word, pedagogical skills—plus her natural enthusiasm, humor and empathy. Many speak of the confidence as well as the measurable professional growth their work with Danielle has made possible.
As a member of NYSTA (the New York Singing Teachers’ Association in NYC), she stays on top of recent developments in her field, keeps in touch with colleagues, and constantly augments her knowledge and skills. She has taken NYSTA's Professional Development program in Voice Anatomy and Physiology, Acoustics, Pedagogy, Repertoire (Classical and Musical Theater) and Vocal Health, with experts in each of these fields.
As a performer, Danielle not only sings an amazing variety of music—classical and operatic, musical theater, jazz and other improvisational forms, pop, folk and world music—she has delved into the performance practice of many types of singing, from Baroque to the present day.
In 1993, she founded her voice studio in the mid-Hudson Valley, then called Woodlark Studio. It has grown into a company now known as Woodlark Arts, Inc. Her teaching mission has always been holistic as well as professional: to provide the highest possible level of training for people who want to improve their voices and their pleasure in using them, whether beginners or professionals, and also to include the healing components intrinsic in music and sound.
Now, with a business partner, she is also hoping to help heal the planet through WoodstockGREEN.
